Little Miracles…..

You know how as you go about life things just happen that you can’t explain. They are more than a coincidence. People have different things they call them, but I have always considered them little miracles. Sometimes they are an answer to a prayer and sometimes they just happen, and sometimes they are a prayer God knew you needed before you realized it.

I have always felt that miracles happen all the time. We just need to be open and aware. Miracles do not have to be huge and life changing to have an impact.

The first time that I remember one of these things happening was when I was in grade school. 3rd or 4th grade. It was when we had to play the recorder flute/whistle things. I am not musical in any way but I gave it my best. I had been home sick for a day or two when we had to do our final solo. I went back and did my solo one morning. I completely messed it up!! I have no idea what my thought process in this was, but I went home for lunch that day. After I ate, I went into my bedroom and got my Mom’s little cedar box off of my dresser. I sat there just holding it, and wishing I had my Mom because I had her recorder so she might be able to help me play. I said I wished she was still alive and could be with me. When I went back that afternoon, I was given another chance to play my solo and I played it perfect!!! I have never forgotten how I felt that day. This was a little thing, but I felt it was a little miracle.

  3. What a special memory! I’ve completely blocked out the recorder memory!! I do remember playing the ukulele for a program…why?? Red River Valley in 5th or 6th grade, I think my grandpa was with me then, he had passed away shortly before that. Might have been his ukulele! I call those little moments God winks!!
